Founded in 1974, the New York Chinese Cultural Center (NYCCC) is a leading Chinese cultural institution in New York City. It provides art programs to more than 10,000 New York City public school students and serves more than 500,000 people per year throughout the U.S. with its various programs. NYCCC offers classes, workshops and performances in traditional Chinese performing and visual arts while also supporting artists in the creation of new works that reflect the rich cultural heritages of today. Our resident dance company, Dance China NY, is one of only a few dance companies in the U.S. that creates works in the traditional Chinese dance genre and tours throughout the U.S. performing in schools.
